Cross-posted in case you missed it on my other site, CompareRewards.com:
This is just a friendly reminder that CompareRewards.com and AdlibCorner will be holding a joint birthday chat tonight at 6pm Central time! We'll have some special guests (representatives of Homeclickin, Memolink, MrRebates, and QuickRewards.net), and rumor has it that some of whom will be giving away prizes!
I'll also be giving away prizes during the chat, to include Starbucks GCs, Subway GCs, Target GCs, a KBToys GC, a Shell gas GC, an AT&T phone card, a Sears GC, free Fandango movie tickets, MyCokeRewards points, and magazine subscriptions!
I'll post a link to the chat room on CompareRewards.com, on or about 5:30 pm central, and I'll be mailing my newsletter subscribers with this information as well. (If you're not a newsletter subscriber and you'd like to join, just mail me with "Subscribe" in the subject line and I'll sign you up!)
Put on your best party outfit and let's talk about shopping and earning and saving online tonight at 6pm! Hope to see you there!
They're now known as LTD Commodities (though their catalogs still say ABC Distributing) -- these are the formerly for-business-only cheap gift catalogs that are open to the public now. They have a 50% off sale going on and I found a bunch of good deals in there -- thought I'd pass it along:
http://www.ltdcommodities.com/home/catalog/cat_thumbnails.asp?G=651
Their regular prices are outstanding, too, though! Hope you find some goodies you can use!
I've been a member of RueLaLa for a few months now and it's an amazing website for getting great deals on designer items (clothes, shoes, bags, sunglasses, etc.). You have to get an invitation from a current member in order to sign up.
This week, they're giving everyone who joins a bonus $10 to your account to spend as you like! All you have to do is go to http://www.RueLaLa.com/gift and enter my email address: comparerewards (at) yahoo (dot) com (written out to thwart email harvesters).
Thanks!
In fact, I'm doing that now! Let me explain.
I came across a website called Buzz For Stuff -- it's at http://www.buzzforstuff.com. It helps match bloggers up with advertisers who are willing to provide product samples for free in return for getting a blog review.
Signup is fast and easy -- you'll be asked some information about your background and your blog's traffic, then you can view available campaigns. Apply for the ones that interest you with a short summary of how you'd complete the assignment and how long it'd take, then wait for approval and make your post!
It won't necessarily have to be a blog post, actually: you can also complete some assignments by putting up a banner ad, writing a non-blog website article, or by creating custom buzz (with approval).
I'm earning a free Burt's Beeswax lipbalm tin just by posting about this service...which I would've done anyway! :)
Cool concept -- give 'em a try!

I've browsed at Etsy.com before (quite a bit, matter of fact) but I only just recently was motivated enough to sign up for an account and make my first purchase. What pushed me to try out one of their sellers was when I saw they sold what I thought was a cute gift: pendants made out of Scrabble tiles!
The seller is called HomeStudio and they actually have two sites set up on Etsy:
- http://www.homestudio.etsy.com and
- http://www.homestudio2.etsy.com
I'm terrible at taking pictures but hopefully you can get an idea of the size of the pendants, a few of the many designs available, and the expensive-looking satiny bags they come in:
If you turn 'em over, sure enough, you can see the letter and point value of the Scrabble tile!
I wore one of my pendants when I voted yesterday, and one of the poll workers commented on how cute it was. They look way more expensive than they are -- and it's fun to point out that it's really a Scrabble tile!
For $25 plus $2 shipping you can get your choice of 4 pendants; for $35 plus $2 shipping you can choose 4 pendants plus they'll include the chains. If you want to buy just one (pendant only), they're $6.95 plus $2 shipping, so it does make sense to buy more at once. That shouldn't be a challenge; the real challenge is deciding which ones to get! :)
Or $5.00 and shipped free if you buy over $25 of book, music, and DVD items: http://tinyurl.com/5k7g6d
Page down once or twice and you'll see it.
If you want to get over the $25 minimum for free shipping, you might also want to pick up the High School Musical 3 soundtrack cd (just $9.98!). Search for "High School Musical 3" to find it.
And Twilight (the book everybody's talking about -- movie's coming out soon) is $5.44 and eligible for free shipping on $25, too!

Here's an awesome post about one suggested way to maximize this deal with available coupons and rebates.
Just overwrite the test info (fake name and email address) in the form.
I don't know anything about this survey site but I joined as an affiliate and wanted to pass the link along if you're interested in trying it out:
It's a new survey panel, and they pay in points that you cash out for prizes. One point = 1 cent, and they say a typical survey is 50 points ($.50). Please give it a try and lemme know what you think.

Cheapest MagazinePriceSearch has for this is $15.50 so it's a nice value freebie just for completing a survey.
