Military and Federal Discounts on Cellular Service

Military and military spouse discounts are available from some cellular providers (Cingular is offering 19% off, Sprint is offering 25% off). Mixed results on whether you can do this by phone or whether you have to go to the store and show a military ID. Cingular's number is 1-800-356-9752. I don't have one for Sprint. Civilian federal employees get 5% off. Just call and ask. Please report your results here in a comment.
