UPDATE: Diet Pepsi Box Office Movie Bucks Ends 6/30

Update: Don't forget, this promotion is ending in a week! Albertson's has Diet Pepsi 12-packs for $2 (5 for $10) this weekend with your store card. Mine had plenty of boxes with the Movie Promo on them but of course, YMMV. I only need 8 points per movie ticket (remember, it's based on where you live), so that's 4 12-packs...$8! I didn't see on the site where there was a daily limit to the number of codes you could enter but to be sure, I'm going to pace myself through the end of the week -- cutting open boxes to get the codes, then duct taping 'em back up. June 30 is the deadline; don't forget!

Diet Pepsi and Yahoo just started a promotion, running through June 30th, where you buy specially marked Diet Pepsi 2 liters, 12 packs, or 24 packs and inside is a code for Diet Pepsi Movie Bucks. You have to have (or set up) a Yahoo account first: http://mail.yahoo.com and then go to http://www.DietPepsiBoxOffice.com to enter your code.

A 2 liter is worth $1 in Movie Bucks, a 12 pack is worth $2, and a 24 pack is worth $3. If you can find 2 liters for 99c, this would probably be your best deal (it's rare in these parts to find 12 packs for under $2.50, and forget about finding a 24 pack for $3). At 99c a 2 liter, getting back a $1 code, it's like getting the 2 liter for free...or the Movie Buck for free, depending on how you look at it. ;)

Besides Diet Pepsi, these other brands are also participating in the promotion: Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi, Diet Pepsi Wild Cherry, Diet Pepsi Lime, Diet Pepsi Twist, Diet Pepsi Vanilla, and Pepsi One.

If you use the same code under two different Yahoo accounts, you'll get in trouble if they catch you (or so the rules say). There's a max of $150 Movie Bucks per account, individual, or address. And they don't want the trading or selling of codes.

Now, for how you redeem them: Deposit the codes into your account, and when you have enough "for your area" (click on Your Account on the site, or call 1-800-225-1750 to find out how many Diet Pepsi Movie Bucks are required for your area...in my area, it's $8) you'll be given the option to redeem online at Fandango or to request a Movie Cash Certificate (good for admission up to $12).
