MSN Search and Win Game

I have been slow in posting tips the last few days because I've become quite addicted to the MSN Search and Win game.

How it works is, click the above link, then enter a search term. If you choose the right things to search for, in the sponsored sites at the top of the page there will be one listing for "MSN Search...And Win!" Click it, and it'll tell you if you've won the prize associated with that search term.

There are massive forum posts discussing strategies, guessing which prizes will be given out next, and (thankfully!) sharing which search words are the ones to use to get the MSN Search...And Win! link to click.

You have to wait a certain length of time between searches (somewhere in the 20 second range); if you search faster you'll get a slow-the-heck-down note. What you're looking for is a Congratulations note (and you'll be given something like 15 minutes to enter your information to receive the prize) or a Sorry note (meaning you didn't win, wait another 15-20 seconds and try again).

As of right now, these are the search terms that will yield the Search and Win link, and the potential prizes associated with them:

aaa (to try to win a free year's AAA membership, $80 value)
blockbusters (to try to win $50 AMC gift certificate)
cd player ($500 BestBuy GC)
couch ($500 Crate and Barrel GC)
airfare ($5,000 Expedia travel voucher)
card picture (Shutterfly picture calendar, $20 value)
address change stationary (yes, I know it's spelled -ery but it only comes up with -ary, Shutterfly print package, $23 value)
caddy (this one has the link on the right hand side of the page, for a Calloway Big Bertha driver, $450 value)
building materials ($300 Home Depot GC)
car maintenance (free oil change from Jiffy Lube, $35 value)
celluloid (1 year Netflix, $216 value)
camping supplies ($200 REI gift certificate)
avignon ($300 Smith and Hawken GC)
aloe vera ($100 SwimOutlet.com GC)
ecological (One year utility TerraPass, $80 value, whatever that is)
bbq (Weber Summit Platinum grill, $800 value)
christian (XM Radio/GPS system with a year of XM service, $1843 value)

There are some other words for prizes to be given to the charity of your choice, but I'm not that altruistic. ;) They're giving away BP gas cards, too, but the search words aren't working right now. Contest ends June 30. US residents 18+ only. Official rules are here.
