Walmart Clearance

Walmart has a bunch of stuff in their clearance section -- with some items, the shipping kinda kills the deal, but there are a few excellent buys in there.

If you search for Microsuede Cobalt, there's a really nice dark blue microsuede comforter with down alternative filling, and the queen size is the same price as the twin ($18.42). Shipped, it comes out to $25.03, WAY cheaper than the $70-ish one I bought for my bedroom at JCPenney just a few months ago! It also comes in Darkest Brown, Tan Pebble, Olive, and Exotic Purple if those colors are more your style.

If you go with the Cobalt color, a matching 200 t.c. sheet set is available for $6 for twin, or $9 for queen...Buying the queen comforter and sheet set together, with shipping, comes out to $40.52 shipped, darned good for what's essentially a bed-in-a-bag (minus the dust ruffle).

I can NOT rave enough about my down alternative microsuede comforter! My mom shied away from the JCPenney deal a few months ago (which I should've, now knowing I could've done so much better price-wise at Walmart!)...but her concern was that "down" = "hot", and that is SO not true. My comforter is incredibly light and, well, comfortable...luxurious feeling. Even my kids (aged 5 and 9) are begging me to buy them one of these comforters, and at this price, I have no reason to say no!

Another good (I thought) find in the clearance section is a laptop for $488 (only $5 to ship it, too). It's a 1.5 Ghz Celeron and it has a NICE 15.4" widescreen monitor. Do a search for LM7WE (that's the model number).
