beta
Hi, all! I have a very special guest blogger tonight -- my son, CJ. He's in the fifth grade and in the Beta Club and as part of his year-end requirements he created a blog entry on supporting local animal shelters. I don't put personal stuff up here much but I was very proud of his work and I think the message is a good one. ;)
My name is C.J., and I have a community service project for Beta. So I’m donating to Cat Haven and writing about my pets.
Hope you like it!

My cat, Mike, was an unwanted kitten also. My grandmother didn’t spay her cat and ended up with kittens, which she had to give away. Luckily, Mike came with us to a good home. But please don’t take in wild cats because they might carry diseases which could sicken your cats and maybe even you. Feeding wild cats is fine; I do that so the cats in my neighborhood don’t starve because some of their owners don’t feed them. So: Feeding wild cats-yes. Taking in wild cats-no. If you would like a cat or kitten and you live near Baton Rouge, I would highly recommend going to Cat Haven. Here is their website: http://www.cathaven.org
If you don’t live in Baton Rouge, this is also a good site for pet adoption: http://www.petfinder.com
